Vocabulary Sentences

1. Excavate- Dig, remove, create a hole
I was excavateing in my backyard and I found a fossil.



2. Artifact- Anything made or used by man kind
They discovered many artifact when they excavated in the toom.



3. Uprooted- Pull up, destroy, remove
I uprooted a tree in my frontyard and moved it into my backyard.



4. Contaminate- Impure, unclean
The towns drinking water was contaminated by the sewage plant.

5. Camaraderie- Friendship, bond
There is camaraderie among the students in the class.



6. Gleaming- Flash, dim light
My teeth were gleaming after I came from the dentist.


7. Gruelling- Exhausting, tiring
It was gruelling while I was runing stinger.



8. Commission- Given authority, put in charge, given direction
The painter was commissioned to create two large murals.


9. Roam- Travel without fixed purpose,
Students like to roam the halls.


10. Subterranean- Exists below the surface of the earth
A subway station is in a subterranean complex.
